Local 2032 is currently comprised of 34 total members. This Union has represented the bargaining unit for both East Jefferson Fire~Rescue since 1971, as well as Brinnon Fire Department since 2012.
East Jefferson Fire~Rescue was formed in the year 2006 after the consolidation of District 1 and District 6 and serves the communities of Port Townsend, Cape George, Kala Point, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, and Marrowstone Island, including roughly 20,000 residents. EJFR now has 30 union firefighters that collectively responded to approximately 4,500 calls in 2015.
The Brinnon Fire Department was formed in 1959, and serves the Southeast portion of Jefferson County along Highway 101. Historically a volunteer department, the first full time employee was hired in 2009. Since then, there are now 4 full time employees that responded to roughly 400 calls for service in 2015.
